Mapping ALPR cameras across the US
Each square is a roughly 35-mile cell. Switch lenses to see where cameras are mapped today (density) or where coverage is changing (growth since the last weekly census). Density is camera count, not a surveillance score: a camera-dense area can still be easier to leave unseen, since exposure depends on whether your exit routes actually cross a reader.Based on 141,096 cameras across 2,142 mapped cells, as of September 13, 2026.
