Mapping ALPR cameras across the US

Each square is a roughly 35-mile cell. Switch lenses to see where cameras are mapped today (density) or where coverage is changing (growth since the previous census). Density is camera count, not a surveillance score: a camera-dense area can still be easier to leave unseen, since exposure depends on whether your exit routes are actually logged by a reader.Based on 146,055 cameras across 2,177 mapped cells, as of November 1, 2026.
